Support

People often rely on friends and family at times for support, but if you work in the sex industry you may feel unable to talk honestly with them. It is always good to know you’ve got someone to talk to, so get in touch if you could use a friendly, confidential chat.

Everyone needs a bit of extra support at different times in their lives. Working in the industry can be fun, fulfilling and sociable. It can also be lonely, isolating and can lead to mental health challenges.

Perhaps you have a particular problem you want to tackle, perhaps you feel ready to talk about something that happened some time ago, or you may just feel you need to let off some steam. Whatever it is, we’re here to support you.

We have a team of fantastic, highly qualified counsellors working in both traditional talking therapies (cognitive behavioural therapy) and in art therapy. All our counsellors are familiar with the industry and experienced in working with sex workers. If you are interested in accessing 12 free counselling sessions from our head offices in King’s Cross, please give us a call and we will arrange an assessment.

Also, check out the SAAFE website or visit the SAAFE forum , a great place to discuss work issues. It is managed by people in the industry, for people in the industry.

You can also just come to one of our clinics or to our head office in King’s Cross for a chat.
